An assembled group of Chinese repoussé gilt silver saddle ornaments, Liao dynasty (907 - 1125) A group of two Chinese gilt-silver saddle ornaments, repoussé-worked in yellow gold against a silver punched dot pattern ground, depicting confronted phoenixes in pursuit of a flaming pearl, framed by bands of scrolling ruyi tendrils and lotus scrolls, Liao dynasty (907 - 1125 CE). Another group of two Chinese gilt-silver saddle ornaments, repoussé-worked in yellow gold on a silver punched dot pattern ground, decorated with stylised scrolling ruyi tendrils, the apertures accentuated by large lotus blossoms, Liao dynasty (907 - 1125 AD). Incl. a digital copy of the document titled 'Certificat d'authenticité' issued by Brussels Art Laboratory, signed by P. H. Laycock (appointed by the Chambre Belge des Experts en Oeuvres d'Art et [...] des Experts Chargés de Missions Judiciaires et d'Arbitrages), stating that the objects are authentic and date to the Liao dynasty.
