Procession. An ornate silver etrog container of exceptional sculptural detail, the cylindrical body richly decorated with intricate architectural motifs and finely worked surfaces. The lid is surmounted by a remarkable figural tableau depicting a procession of ten men, each bearing a lulav and etrog, encircling a central bima where a reader stands engaged with the Torah. This dynamic scene represents the hakafot performed during Sukkot.A Hebrew inscription encircles the rim. The body is embellished with arcaded panels, latticework, and ornamental flourishes, evoking synagogue architecture. Total approx. weight is 43.77 troy oz (gross). From a White Plains, NY estate.
