Two pairs of Chinese silk embroidered purses (hebao), late Qing dynasty, one pair of kidney-shaped outline, worked in coloured threads, lengths 10cm, the other pair worked in coloured threads with a shou character and flowers on a pink ground, widths 8.6cm, within a glazed display case, together with a Chinese dark blue silk embroidered purse (hebao) and a bell shaped pouch, each worked in shades of blue and white with flowers on a dark blue ground, widths 10cm and 7cm, within a glazed display case. Provenance: the property of a West Sussex lady collector.
