A Chinese Canton export lacquer brisé fan, mid-19th century, the guards decorated with gilt and red bat and basket pendant above flowers and scrolls on a black ground, the eighteen sticks decorated to each side in gilt with a scene of figures in landscape within floral borders, length 19.8cm (minor faults).
