明 永樂款 銅鎏金阿彌陀佛 Finely cast seated in dhyanasana upon a double-lotus pedestal, the Buddha displays the dhyana mudra, the hands resting in meditation before the lap. The face is serene and full, with gently downcast eyes beneath arched brows, a prominent ūrṇā, and elongated pendulous ears. The tightly curled hair is picked out in blue pigment, surmounted by a domed uṣṇīṣa. The robe is elegantly draped over the left shoulder, leaving the right shoulder exposed, with crisply defined hems cascading naturally across the torso and legs. The figure is richly gilt throughout and supported on a finely chased double-lotus base with beaded borders, the underside sealed with a copper plate engraved with a viśvavajra. The front edge of the base bears the six-character Yongle incised mark. Qing Dynasty period or earlier.
