西漢 銅鎏金鳥獸紋玉卮 Finely carved from a pale celadon-white jade of translucent tone, the cup is of gently tapering cylindrical form, rising from a bronze foot and mounted with matching gilt-bronze rims. The exterior is delicately incised with a continuous band of stylized birds and mythical beasts amidst scrolling clouds. Surface wear and patination to the metal mounts are consistent with age. Western Han Dynasty period.
