商 玉斧 The ceremonial axe blade is of trapezoidal form, tapering toward a straight butt and expanding to a broad, gently curved cutting edge. The upper section is drilled from both sides with a large circular perforation for hafting, framed by subtle bevelled shoulders. Shang Dynasty period.
