A Large Hongshan Yellow Jade Carved Turtle

紅山文化 大型青玉鱉 Carved from a translucent yellowish-green jade with localized areas of chalky white calcification, the flattened figure is stylized in the form of a turtle (bie). The smooth, gently domed shell extends to a pointed head and stylized fin-like limbs, featuring softly bevelled edges typical of Neolithic jade carving. Hongshan Culture. 可參考1987年遼寧凌源牛河梁遺址出土之紅山文化玉鱉，現藏遼寧省文物考古研究院。
