Religious first-class (ex ossibus) relic of Saint Edward the Confessor (Anglo-Saxon King of England, founder of Westminster Abbey, c.1003-1066), housed in a silver-tone metal theca reliquary, with scalloped border, red wax seal with the Redemptorists coat of arms verso, further encased in a gilt-metal altar reliquary, having openwork scrolled trim set with white and red rhinestones, on knopped standard and fluted foot, accompanied by certificate of authenticity issued by Nicolaus Ferrante, Postulator General in the Causes of the Servants of the Sixth Congregation of the Holy Redeemer, certificate dated 4 October 1964, theca: approx 1.25"diam, overall: approx 6"h, 3.5"w, 2.5"d, 235.1 grams (inclusive of all materials) **Provenance: from the extensive collection of a long-time contributor of relics, Catholic church goods, and liturgical antiques** **NOTE: ALL JEWELRY & COIN LOTS REALIZING OVER $1,000 MUST BE PAID BY BANK WIRE.
