Japanese Edo Period (17th-18th Cent.) Six Panel Panel Screen Edo period, Japanese Japanese Edo period six panel screen with gold leaf background, flower and stream design. This is most likely Kano school, beautifully painted with a stream flowing down the mountains with birds flying above, beaufitully painted red, white flowers with green leaves. A typical Japanese landscape scene. The background of the paper with gold leaf sprays, now mounted in an expensive black lacquer one-piece frame for easy hanging to the wall. Mark had this screen hanging in the dining room of the large mansion at 106 Arch St., Sunbury PA.
