Large Indian Dhokra Bronze Horse w/ Two Riders Late 19th to early 20th century, Indian Antique cast bronze horse and two riders in the Dhokra, a lost wax process, tehnique. This art form is traditionally practiced by the Dhokra Damar tribes of Chhattisgarh (Bastar district) in India. Sculpture portrays a two tribal warriors mounted on a horse with elaborate traditional costuming and headdresses, carrying symbolic items including each with a dagger and one carrying a torch-like item. Horse is decorated with decorative reins and geometric designs along body with fine hair detail to mane and tail.
