Indian Bronze Goddess Parvati (Uma) Sculpture Early to mid 20th century, Indian Indian finely cast bronze sculpture of Parvati (Uma), a masterpiece of Indian artistry. This sculpture depicts the goddess as the embodiment of Shakti—divine feminine power, fertility, and grace. She is in a Tribhanga pose, exemplifying the curvature of the female form. The goddess is adorned with a karanda-mukuta (conical crown), multi-layered necklaces, armlets, and a sacred thread (yajnopavita) that guides the eye across her form (see torso). This sculpture features hand-chased details to necklaces, costume, face, headdress, ect., on a raised rounded two-tiered lotus base. The patina ranges from a dark to light brown with areas of reddish and greenish patina.
