拍品描述

Nepalese 16th-17th Cent Gilt Copper Prabhamandala 16th-17th century, Nepalese This large and well chased delicately worked prabhamandala. At the crest, a projecting Garuda reigns, flanked by makaras whose curving tails writhe through an ocean of intricate scrolling elements. Piece is made in two sections, the top and bottom section mounted with a large center rod and small bands of copper to left and right sides. The two extending iron points for mounting with early hand-hammered rivet construction and great early patina. The back shows the extreme amount of open piercing through the copper, also with dark patina and areas of lighter copper patina to the high points.
