Beautiful Chinese Lavender & Apple Green Jadeite Large Covered Vase Early 20th century, Chinese Beautifully carved jadeite vase with lavender and apple green highlights to the phoenix, small birds, pine tree, and especially to large flowers adorning the lid. The finial at the top of the jadeite is Mughal style and the lid has fine large areas of openwork showing birds in flight, blooming flowers, and flower buds. The body of the vase with two large phoenixes flanking the left and right sides, standing on openwork pine tree lids with two small birds accompanying. The lower section with lavender jade crane standing on a rock outcrop, the backside with magnolia tree and openwork in high relief with two birds on branches gazing at each other. The left side with bamboo stalk growing up to the bottom of the phoenix's tail. The interior of the lid with fine old polish. The interior of the vase is well hollowed. The bottom of the vase is carved with foot rim and interior hollowed out and polished.
