拍品描述
Edo Period Japanese Armor Boxes Edo period, Japanese, 17th-18th century This matched pair of boxes would compliment the armor in the last lot. Both boxes with lacquered leather with gilt mons or family crests. This type of box was used when transporting armor and has wrought iron handles and mounts so they can slip over a pole and be carried over the shoulder. Many museum displays but the two armors next to each other, and mount the full armor, seated, on top of the storage boxes. Would appropriately store armor in the next lot.
