Pair of Ancient Egyptian Black Granite Handle/Amulet Shaped Burial Objects Ancient Egypt A pair of Egyptian period black granite handle/amulet shaped burial objects. Both carved in low relief with a circular design of a curled ibis with bird leg showing and head and beak showing. Right has bird carving extending to the edges of the shape. Left has bird carved in a moon shape with a round carved channel. Cataloguer's Note: Mark assumes that this is a pair because there is a right and a left. Also, the ibis heads face each other. Mark is unsure of the function of these objects but they appear to be due to carving style, patina, and uniqueness to be authentic Egyptian pieces.
