Chinese Gilt Silver Embellished Jeweled Box 19th century, possibly older, Chinese Octagonal silver wash metal box adorned on its lid with a large white jade medallion carved to depict a pomegranate in a footed dish. Piece is decorated throughout with jade, tourmaline, and coral insets carved into various auspicious symbols including bats, butterflies, and lotuses.
