Pair Chinese Late Ming Polychrome Songzi Guanyin w/ Children Late Ming period (16th-17th century), Chinese Matched pair of seated Songzi Guanyin women holding boys on their knees with traces of polychrome pigment, carved from hardwood. Faces feature a serene expression, and the boys are in flowing robes. Now seated on contemporary wood block bases. One stamped "China" for export after 1898. Cataloguer's Note: Similar examples found in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rogers Fund 1951.
