Large Impressive Ribbed Imari Centerpiece Bowl 19th Century, Japan Meiji Period. Bottom signed with flower logo. The shape of this impressive large Imari bowl is flower shape with gilt rims and ribbed design to both the inside and outside. The interior panel flower shaped with kylin and floral motif. The interior side ribs each with different brocade pattern having large cranes flying in a circular pattern. All glazed with underglaze blue, red, green, yellow, light blue and gilding. Exterior with similar design. Foot rim with comb design. Mark Walberg's note: "This is the largest Imari bowl I've had in 50 years of business. A true masterpiece."
