Chinese Carved Wood and Gold Leaf Guanyin 18th century, Chinese Chinese carved wood and gold leaf Guanyin seated in a mountain outcrop with two attendants. This unusual carved wood Guanyin with two attendants, scholars books, vase, and birds carved to the sides of the Guanyin. Backside is carved with opening for prayers, the contents of which has a small calligraphy written paper, silk and metal pieces for offering. Please see photograph to translate caligraphy, the paper itself is dated to the 18th century (Qianglong period). Cataloguer's Note: Acquired from a California estate.
