(2 pcs) Large Chinese Gilt Bronze Ming Buddha, Guanyin 17th century, Chinese This large and impressive gilt Buddha with face, chest, and hands fire-gilding. Robes front and back with lacquered gilt. Traces of polychrome red and green paint throughout. Guanyin is seated padmasana and holds a willow stem in raised right hand and a cup in the left hand. The crown has open work and in the center Amita Buddha. This Buddha is accompanied by a carved gilt lacquered wood lotus base. Stand dates to 18th-19th century.
