Large Japanese Signed Gold and Black Lacquer Presentation Box Meiji, Japanese Large Japanese signed gold and black lacquered presentation box. Open and closed fan designs throughout. Each gold lacquered fan with different designs to include hawk on stand, Japanese boat full of courtesans, irises in a stream, cranes flying in a sunset, Mandarin ducks in a stream, a tea ceremony, ect. Top of the box the fan to the left quadrant has a lacquered artist's signature. Interior of box lid with finely lacquered hawk on flowering tree branch.
