These volumes are rebound in brown cloth cover, and embossed in gold on the spines. The bindings are tight with all pages attached. There are no owners’ markings or owners book plates. This is a wonderful, 160-year-old book set that was originally owned by the Library of the Blessed Sacrament, Cleveland, OH. Acquired from the estate of a world-renowned French-American Cardiologist who had an extremely strong Catholic faith and whose medical research was both published and awarded. The title literally translates to; Works of Saint Bernard. The inside title page translates to; Works of Saint Bernard by M. Armand Ravelet, under the patronage or the Bishop of Versailles, preceded by the life of Saint Bernard for the T.R.P. de Ratisbonne.
