Period Qing Dynasty or early Republic period Description A pair of ‘whistle’ or ‘signal’ arrows. The heads, composed of wood, horn and stained bone, with four vent holes, that produced a whistling sound when flying through the air. At the base of the heads the green stained bone with incised characters. Wraps of green shagreen at the ends just above the bone tips. Dimensions L 101 cm and 104 cm Condition Report One head is loose.
