Period Late Qing Dynasty, early 20th century Description With rows of alternating dragon medallions and cloud motifs. Dimensions Yellow-ground: Length 191 cm, width 140 cm. Orange-ground: Length 200 cm, width 77 cm. For another example of the fabric in situ, see Daily Life in the Forbidden City (Wan Yi, Wang Shuqing, Lu Yanzhen, 1989), pp. 64-65, no. 86. An identical example with the same pattern but with an orange-ground can be found in the British Museum, London (Registration number 1984,0202.105). Also compare with a panel in the Minneapolis Institute of Arts (Acc. no. 42.8.174), illustrated in Imperial Silks: Ch'ing Dynasty Textiles in The Minneapolis Institute of Arts volume 2 (Robert D.
