Period Qing Dynasty Description The sobriquet Wanbai Shanren (完白山人, translated as “Man of the White Mountain” or “Hermit of the Completely White Mountain”) belonged to Deng Shiru (邓石如), an influential Chinese calligrapher and seal artist from the Qing Dynasty (1743–1805).
