A hardwood lacquered-inset corner-leg table with 'giant's arm' braces

Period 18th century Description The single-panel lacquerware top set within wide rectangular frame, above a narrow waist, with S-shaped ‘giant’s arm’ braces extending from the inside of each leg to the underside of the table, all supported on legs of square section terminating in hoof feet. Dimensions 85x95x47 cm Condition Report The inlaid shellac-lacquered tabletop shows signs of water damage and overall wear from use. It has been previously restored and shows an inserted piece of wood on the left-hand side. There are visible sticker residue marks. One of the corners of the table leg has been reassembled and shows two dowel marks, as well as two circular marks from the restoration.
