拍品描述
Period 18th century Description The wood of one stool has an attractive grain and warm satin tone, while the other is of a deep purple colour. Each with multi-panelled top set within a flower-shaped frame above a narrow plain waist, the aprons in corresponding form, the openwork spandrels with cloud shapes, continuing onto inward-curved legs which terminate in hoof feet and are set into the base stretcher. Dimensions Each 50.5x44x40 cm Condition Report The purple stool has been completely reassembled and restored as close as possible to its original state. The retouching is clearly visible. Due to the restoration, the overall construction is in good condition. The satinwood-coloured stool top shows two small missing sections. The overall construction is acceptable, and the panels of the top have separated from each other. The base, however, is in very good condition. UV discoloration has caused variations in colour, but the wood species remains the same.
