Dia.: 22,3 cm With a label of Armin B. Allen Fine Porcelain, New York. Marked AR on the back for Adriaa[e]n van Rijsselberg[h], the 'De Grieksche A' workshop, Delft, ca. 1701 or possibly 1713 to 1735. The current dish shows important similarities to a number of plates and dishes with a Commedia del'Arte theme, but the inscription here reads 'Langlois, no. 4'. Ref.: Aronson, inv. nr. D1425, for a plate depicting Scaramouche, also marked for the same painter, and also bearing a similar inscription in the lower section of the central medallion.
