AN EGYPTIAN FAIENCE NECKLACE, LATE PERIOD This lot is from a single owner collection and is therefore offered without reserve The Jorgen Ruben Gallery Ledger, entry from 2012: “No. 728, Egyptian tubular faience blue glazed beeds stringed as necklaces, ca. Diam. 35 cm, DR 1985, Prov.: London coll. 1985” Gallery price: EUR 225 or approx. EUR 320 adjusted for inflation at the time of writing. Egypt, 664-332 BC. Composed of 50 tubular beads of varying length and 66 smaller spherical and disk-shaped spacer beads in predominantly turquoise-glazed faience accented in shades of lapis lazuli blue, emerald green, deep red, and bright yellow.
