A PAIR OF BRONZE TEMPLE CANDLESTICKS, SHOKUDAI, EDO PERIOD This lot is from a single owner collection and is therefore offered without reserve Japan, 1615-1868. Each with a straight shaft with threaded ends rising from circular wax pans centered by foliate blossoms and additionally fitted with ash pots, the sides applied with hanging hooks for candle snuffers, terminating in pricket tips above smaller pans and candle holders.
