KYOKUSAI: A FINE BAMBOO WEAVE HANAKAGO (FLOWER BASKET) This lot is from a single owner collection and is therefore offered without reserve By Kyokusai, signed Kyokusai Japan, early 20th century The vase of trapezoid from tapering towards the upper rim, the sides woven with thin strips of bamboo forming a delicate zig-zag pattern below the bamboo lined rim, and supported on four short feet formed by the curving weave. The interior is fitted with an otoshi (water holder) in the form of a brown-colored glass bottle and the base is signed KYOKUSAI.
