A CARVED ‘LOTUS’ LONGQUAN CELADON DISH, YUAN DYNASTY This lot is from a single owner collection and is therefore offered without reserve China, 1279-1368. Heavily potted with rounded sides rising from a short foot to an everted lipped rim, the central roundel is freely carved with a leafy lotus blossom, encircled by a ribbed band. Covered overall with a green glaze darkening in the recesses, the foot rim left unglazed revealing the buff ware burnt to orange in the firing.
