A YE FAMILY INSIDE-PAINTED GLASS ‘INSECTS AND FISH’ SNUFF BOTTLE, SIGNED PINGBO AN, DATED 1927 Of flattened ovoid form, supported on a short oval foot with a recessed base and rising to broad sloped shoulders surmounted by a gently flared neck with a flat lip. The interior skillfully painted, depicting a continuous scene with grasshoppers on rocky outcrops overlooking a shallow pond with a school of fish, a dragonfly and bee high above. Inscriptions: To the bottle, 丁卯冬月以應春浦先生清玩, 平伯庵作, ‘Respectfully made for Mr. Chunpu's refined enjoyment, in the winter of the Dingmao year (1927), by Pingbo an’. Stopper: Pale coral Dimensions: Height including stopper 65 mm. Diameter neck 15 mm and mouth 7 mm.
