A MOLDED FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLE, JINGDEZHEN KILNS, 1800-1850 China. The ovoid bottle is molded in high relief and decorated in bright enamels, the two sides showing figural scenes in a palace, one side featuring a lady beside a noble man seated on a stool before a screen in a garden, the reverse with three ladies in a chamber. The narrow sides are enameled with gilt beast masks on mille-fleur motifs, and the base with an apocryphal Qianlong nianzhi mark in gilt on iron-red. Stopper: Green jadeite on a gilt metal mount Dimensions: Height including stopper 85 mm. Diameter neck 15 mm and mouth 7 mm.
