A RARE STONE FIGURE OF A MALE DEITY, MON DVARAVATI PERIOD, 8TH-9TH CENTURY This lot is from a single owner collection and is therefore offered without reserve Thailand. Finely modeled, the chest adorned with a beaded sash and necklace suspending triangular tassels, a floral armlet below the shoulder, and the face in a meditative expression, almond shaped eyes and wide lips forming a gentle smile, framed by thick locks of hair, and surmounted by a tiered, leafy crown.
