AN IMPERIAL FOUR-COLOR OVERLAY ‘EIGHT CHILONG’ SNOWFLAKE GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE, 1750-1820 China. Of tall ovoid form, tapering towards the foot and rising to a gently waisted neck with flat lip, the sides delicately carved through transparent overlays of pinkish-red, green, turquoise and blue with three sinuous chilong to each side, and one forming the foot, all above a semi-transparent glass with small white inclusions and air-bubbles. Stopper: Tourmaline with jadeite finial Dimensions: Height including stopper 82 mm. Diameter neck 16 mm and mouth 7 mm.
