A SHADOW AGATE ‘HAWK ON ROCK’ SNUFF BOTTLE, 1750-1850 China. Well hollowed, of rounded square form standing on a concave foot, with a cylindrical neck and a flat rim, sparingly carved to enhance the dark brown markings on the honey-amber translucent stone to depict a hawk perched on a rock, the reverse with a rocky outcrop. Stopper: Coral on a black vinyl collar Dimensions: Height including stopper 68 mm. Diameter neck 23 mm and mouth 8 mm.
