Period Gypsum unfinished, Front and ear restored, H.: 20.00 cm, MP 2008” Gallery price: EUR 27,000 or approx. EUR 38,500 adjusted for inflation at the time of writing. Egypt, 332-30 BC. The sculptor's model wearing the nemes headcloth with uraeus, his idealized face with outlined lips in an enigmatic smile and finely outlined almond-shaped eyes, the eyebrows in relief. (2) The slight smile, the soft facial features, and the downward-pointing viper on the brow (where there would normally be a rearing cobra) of some of these images suggest that they represent one or more of the kings of the fourth century BC.
