Two Chinese enamel on biscuit 'squirrel' water pots Qing dynasty, Kangxi period One glazed in yellow, the other in aubergine, 8.5cm long (2). 清康熙 素燒松鼠式水盂兩件 Yellow squirrel: Restoration to around the right ear, and the leaf with spraying and over painting. Firing imperfection including slight crack to the body, pitting, iron spots. Aubergine squirrel: A patch of restoration to around the left ear, a tiny shallow chip to the edge of right ear. The rare part of the animal as well as the left side of the body has been restored. Yellow squirrel: Restoration to around the right ear, and the leaf with spraying and over painting. Firing imperfection including slight crack to the body, pitting, iron spots. Aubergine squirrel: A patch of restoration to around the left ear, a tiny shallow chip to the edge of right ear. The rare part of the animal as well as the left side of the body has been restored.
