A pair of large Chinese 'Canton' famille rose baluster vases Qing dynasty, 19th century Enamelled with panels of women at leisure on a ground of flowers and auspicious objects, 62cm high (2). 清十九世紀 廣彩開光侍女紋雙耳大瓶一對 Condition Report: One vase has a section of the mouth rim broken off and reattached, with an associated chip. There is also a chip to the tail of one moulded chilong. In addition, a long hairline crack forms a narrow arch across the shoulders and body, with the longest line extending approximately 24 cm from the tip of the arch. The other vase in good condition. Both vases with wear to gilding and enamel commensurate with age. Expected firing imperfections including pits, iron spots slight crack to the moulded chilongs, expected of the type.
