A Tibetan parcel-gilt silver gau 19th century The cover executed in repoussé technique, with gilded central panel depicting a flaming jewel, enclosed by a band of scrolling foliage and lotus petals, further decorated with lotus flowers on foliage ground, with white metal base, 13cm x 12.5cm x 5cm. 西藏十九世紀 銀局部鍍金嘠烏 Condition Report: Side panels have been dethatched in some areas mostly from where the metal sheets are joined, such as the corners and along the edges. The front panel mostly intact with minor indentations. Indentations and tarnish to the side panels, and the base. This gau electronically tests as approximately 94.61% silver, 7.74 karat of plated gold. Roseberys uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals.
