A pair of Chinese famille verte on biscuit 'Buddhist lions' incense holders Qing dynasty, Kangxi period Each modelled with one front paw raised, 15cm high (2). 清康熙 素燒三彩佛獅式香插一對 Condition Report: Female lion: Restorations to the eyeballs, socket of the eyes, the lotus branch for holding the candle, the right side of the neck where the candle stick is attacked, rare leg and paw to the front side. Male lion: Restoration to the top section of the head and eyes, lotus branch for holding the candle, the left side of the neck and mid back where the candle stick is attacked. A chip of approx. 1cm to the rim of upper lip. Female lion: Restorations to the eyeballs, socket of the eyes, the lotus branch for holding the candle, the right side of the neck where the candle stick is attacked, rare leg and paw to the front side. Male lion: Restoration to the top section of the head and eyes, lotus branch for holding the candle, the left side of the neck and mid back where the candle stick is attacked. A chip of approx. 1cm to the rim of upper lip.
