A Japanese cloisonné enamel vase Meiji period, by Namikawa Yasuyuki (1845-1927) Delicately worked in silver wire of varying gauge, decorated with clusters of light purple wisteria blossoms interspersed with silver leaves, trailing from the upper body towards the centre, the shoulder decorated with a yellow butterfly, all reserved on a black ground, the base signed Kyoto Namikawa on a silver plaque, applied with a silver rim and foot, 9cm high. Cf. Compare a similar vase decorated with wisteria blossoms by Namikawa Yasuyuki, sold at Christie's, London, 9–23 July 2015, Lot 78.
