A Chinese export famille rose 'Madame de Pompadour' pattern plate Qing dynasty, Qianlong period circa 1745 The centre enamelled with peonies and chrysanthemums, within a border of foliate cartouches enclosing fish and eagles, the exterior painted in iron-red with trailing floral stems, 28.5cm diameter. 清乾隆約一七四五 外銷粉彩繪蓬皮杜夫人紋盤 Condition Report: Two vertical hairlines from mouth rim, the longest of 6.5cm. Three small dent/chip and one larger chip of approx. 1.5cm across have been sympathetically restored to mouth rim. A tiny chip to foot rim, slight wear to glaze and enamel commensurate with age.
