A Chinese cinnabar-lacquer 'longevity' box Qing dynasty, 18th/19th century The peach shaped box carved to the domed cover with a scholar and attendant under pine within landscape, applied with black lacquer to the interior and inside of the foot rim, 11.5 x 11 x 5.5cm. Small chips along the rim to the cover (associated with very fine and short cracks) and base, one chip to foot rim. General surface wear commensurate with age.
