A Fine Doucai 'Marriage' Bowl, Daoguang Mark and Period (1821-1850) 清 道光 斗彩荷塘鸳鸯图直口卧足盌「大清道光年制」篆书款 The steep rounded sides painted with pairs of mandarin ducks swimming and flying amidst iron-red lotus blooms, below a band of underglaze blue dragons chasing flaming pearls, the interior decorated with a central medallion enclosing a pair of ducks in a lotus pond, below a band of lanca characters encircling the rim, the base inscribed with a six-character Daoguang mark in underglaze blue 敞口，深腹，圆弧形器壁。外壁以矾红绘鸳鸯两两，游于莲塘，飞翔于莲花之间；下承青花云龙纹一周，绘龙腾逐火珠。内壁中央饰莲池鸳鸯图开光，口沿环饰兰札体梵文纹。底落青花“大清道光年制”六字篆书款。鸳鸯成双，寓夫妻和合；莲花清丽，含和美繁衍之意。纹饰组合寓意吉祥，多用于婚庆及庆典之器，体现了清代宫廷瓷器纹样注重祥瑞寓意的装饰风格。 height 3 in — 7.6 cm, diameter 6.5 in — 16.5 cm Estimate: $10,000—15,000 CAD
