A LARGE GOTHIC ARCHITECTURAL CAST IRON BOOT SCRAPER IN THE MANNER OF JAMES WYATT, 19TH CENTURY 30cm high, 50cm wide, 25cm deep The Gothic revival architecture of James Wyatt is well documented by John Martin Robinson, James Wyatt: Architect to George III, Yale University Press, 2012 - examples of his work that closely resemble the present lot include Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire (fig. 237) the restoration of Westminster Abbey, London (fig. 244) and a design for Queen Charlotte's cottage at Little Frogmore, Windsor (fig 258).
