Palmer M.D., October 1860, inscriptions on endpapers, with occasional marginal annotations in pencil; Their Royal Highnesses Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, bookplates, sale at Christie's South Kensington, 3rd October 2006 (£1,560) This collection was the first to illustrate royal palaces and houses: Volume I opens with records of the state rooms of Windsor Castle, concluding with the domesticity of Frogmore, Volume II highlights the interiors of Hampton Court, Buckingham Palace, and Kensington Palace, with Volume III concluding the edition with St. James’s Palace and twenty plates of Carlton House, regarded as having the most spectacular interiors in Regency London.
