Bridge by the...by me at New Biggin Westmorland...Midland Railway Cottages, Newbiggin, Westmorland 1896' 47cm high, 56.5cm wide including the geometric cork frame Newbiggin Station was designed by Victorian architect John Holloway Sanders in the 'Midland Gothic or 'Derby Gothic' style, opening in opened in 1876. The station was situated along the Settle-Carlisle line and served as an important stop for the nearby towns of Kirkby Thore, Milburn and Temple Sowerby until its closure in 1970.
